For young climate enthusiasts!

It started off as a request for a one day program for students that could be meaningful, particularly so in the times where children have just begun to ask tough questions from us ‘adults’.

This itinerary for the day emerged out of this contemplation and we all at Kaaya felt, Yes! we could at least seed the idea in a single day. Who knows, what and how the things that we do… moves us!

Here is the itinerary for the Day!

8.30                     Departure from School after breakfast

9.00                     Arrival at Kaaya, Tilwari village,

                            (Assembly, Welcome Drinks, Program briefing and Group formation)

9.30 -11.30:       Exploring Neighbourhoods

                            Small facilitated observation trails in three groups

  1. Forest walk (birds, butterflies and diversity)
  2. River walk (streams, conservation, environment)
  3. Village walk (people, natural resources and sustainability)

All groups collect random stuff for nature/story board while returning

11.30 -1.00:       Creating Story Boards

10 smaller groups are formed ensuring equal representation from previous three walk groups

In a facilitated environment, each group use the material around to develop a story around environment, linking the things they understood from their respective walks. Each group present their stories creatively to others

1.00 – 2.00         Lunch & rest

2.00-4.30:           Take away: Tools of an eco-warrior

  • Taking control: Learn to make seed bombs
  • Express at kaaya

4.30 -5.00:          High Tea & reflections
